Grandpa and David played all morning. After lunch we picked up some kites and hit the large field next door to the YMCA. We had a blast flying kites:
David picked out a Disney / Pixar Cars kite and a Spiderman Kite:
David did a great job flying his own kite:

After dinner, Grandpa Ron and David hat Hot Wheel drag races:

Grandpa Ron needed a "David fix" so he drove out on Saturday. We planted seedlings from Great Grandpa Jack's Hard Maple and Norwegian Maple. Then Grandpa Ron played with David while Andy and Wendy did some early Spring yard work. We all played trains and had a fun dinner out and about before taking a bubble bath and hitting the sack.

Mud!

Wednesday, March 17, 2010
It was a beautiful day! We went out back after I got home; David really wanted to slide. We started on the swings and quickly moved on to the slide. David would have really loved to play in the mud, but I did my best to catch him at the bottom of the slide and transport him back to the ladder, keeping him dry and clean (sorta).

Romper Room

Monday, March 15, 2010
David and I hit the Y to play in the mat room. He did well playing with other kids. We built some towers. We built a tunnel. We walked on the balance beam. We had a good time and he was reluctant to go home.

Puppets!

Sunday, March 14, 2010
Grandma Loralee came in town for the weekend. We headed to Eaton to go to join cousin Garland and head to the Madcap Puppets. David really enjoyed the rat, the monkey, the troll and the dragons.

It's Sunny Outside! or Time to Ride!

Monday, March 8, 2010
Jamie had a doctor's appointment today, so Wendy and I split the day with David. It reached the mid-50's so David and I got out the tricycle. It is amazing what a few months will do for one's ability to pedal. There is still some room for improvement, but he is doing a lot better!
