We picked up some sidewalk chalk at this weekend. The weather was finally nice enough to play outside. David had a great time!

On Saturday we headed to Imagination Station, a children's museum partnered with COSI. "The Nuts and Bolts of ANIMATION" a special exhibit put on in collaboration with CARTOON NETWORK. Uncle Cris was right at home putting dialog to animation stills:
and the kids loved it:
Everyone got to try their hand at being a Foley Artist:
and creating a stop motion animation short:
We got to play with computer manipulated 3D images of live action:

Then we headed to the Little KIDSPACE. The kids played in the grocery store:
the ER and ambulance:
Then off to the water tables! Duck races anyone?
Ball Races:
Here come the Fire Fighters:
"Quick, put out the fire"
Even Alice had a great time!
After a fun day at the museum, we went back to Mandy & Cris' for more play time.

A nice, relaxing breakfast:
David helped feed Alice:
and the kids played Candy Land:
and helped prep a cake for Grandma Loralee's birthday:
It was a beautiful day, so the kids were happy to play outside:
We even had a tricycle adventure:
Before we headed back to Dayton, David got some Wii drum time in:
It was a crazy, fun weekend!
We headed to the Toledo area after work Friday night. David was happy to see everyone.

ARRR!
Today was Pirate Day in the Blumberg backyard. David and I played on the "pirate ship" (playset). We swung, we climbed, we steered and we slid. Then we followed a "treasure map" around the backyard. He did not want to go inside for dinner!

No, the power wasn't out. David found one of my old flashlights; a large plastic one. I gladly deemed it his and they were inseparable the rest of the evening. We took a bath by only flashlight light. We brushed his teeth by beam of flashlight. We even read tonight's book by flashlight. It is cozily tucked in along side him in bed tonight. We will see how long it is attached to his hip...
