Memorial Day Weekend

Saturday, May 29, 2010
We headed to Indianapolis, IN, to meet up with Brian and Jenette. We started the day off with a visit to Long's Bakery, a very old school bakery with great, fresh products. They even had "yeast donuts" listed on the menu board. David chose chocolate milk and a cake donut with chocolate icing; no surprises there!

We then headed off to the Indianapolis Children's Museum to meet Brian and Jenette.

Where did he get that "tongue thing"? Oh, yeah, that came genetically from me :)

Monday was a jammie day. David and Andy took a bike / trailer ride in the early morning. The Schlises came over for a relaxing dinner. The kids played in the sprinkler and we ate outside on the deck.

Jackie and Alice came down for the weekend. We had fun playing outside. David and Jackie took turns riding the tricycle and driving the pedal car: We played baseball:and went for a walk. We even played Simon Says while we were out and about. March, march, march... Hop, hop, hop... Baby steps, baby steps...and of course, Running!We played outside on the playset:and rode on the swings:and ran some more:We even had some down time:David loves his cousin, "Baby Alice."We shared baths and bed time stories:After playing outside Sunday morning, and taking extra baths, a snack was needed by all:

We got home from work to find our "pets" playing in the backyard. The ducks and bunny were very happy eating a snack with each other:Well, it finally happened; David scaled the wall:
