Pizza Run

We took a quick tour, ordered our pizza, and hung out being social with lots of people who love "Youngstown Pizza," more specifically, Wedgewood Pizza.
Wendy and David both liked their peperoni & green pepper sheet pizza:

David, like everybody, got a kick out of Dominic's outgoing personality.
We had a great time, and most importantly, a great pizza. It was well worth the drive!

Race Course
Wednesday, July 28, 2010
David really wanted to ride his tricycle tonight. After a quick errand, we were glad to oblige. I pulled out the new cones and setup a road course.
"Go David, Go!"
"Weave! Weave!"
It started to rain, so we had to pick-up and head in for dinner:
We definitely had fun, even if it was a shorter ride than David would have liked:

A Down Day

Swim, Swim, Swim
Monday, July 26, 2010
We were supposed to go play with friends in the fountains at the Greene, but that fell through. So, we headed to the pool. David played flopped around in the kiddie pool, and floated around in the shallow end of the big pool. He is getting braver, trying to see how far he can walk toward the deep end on tip-toes.

Another Busy Saturday
Saturday, July 17, 2010
David needed a haircut, so the guys went to see Kristi for trims while Wendy was at work.
On the way home, some play time at North Park was in order. David sung on stage with his echoing microphone and did some serious playing on the playground equipment.
On the way home we stopped at the store and picked up some popsicles and fudgsicles. It was hot and David enjoyed:
We decided to head down the the MidFirst Ohio Challenge balloon festival. David enjoyed taking the school bus shuttle from airport parking to the park:
There was a car show, food vendors, and live music. David really enjoyed the live music:

The winds picked up and it looked like it could rain, so we grabbed some dinner and found a spot under a large tent. Corn dog anyone?

The temperature began to drop a good bit by 7 PM, so we decided to stick around until the balloon glow at 9. We found a seat in the shade:
David played with a little boy from Centerville until we saw this out in the field:
Upon further investigation, we found out that we could go inside!
David thought being inside a giant balloon was cool:

We decided to head over to the other side of the park and find a seat for the evening's festivities. There were lots of sky divers every 30 to 40 minutes through out the day. The all landed in a corded off area in the middle of the crowd:
"Hey, what are they doing out there?" The evening balloon launch was called off, but the glow was still a go:

There were lots of good seats. We were about 20 feet from the balloon area:

David and Andy hung out on the blanket for a while, until David decided to get up and run around the blanket in circles....
David was up later than normal, but it was a nice evening!

Off to the Pool
Friday, July 16, 2010
David and Andy headed to the neighborhood pool after work. David played with water toys in baby pool before donning his float shirt and heading to the big pool. As usual, David did not want to go home...

Time for a Change
Sunday, July 11, 2010
David and Andy hit church this morning while Wendy worked on a few projects. We came home for a nice lunch of BLTs . David was down for a short nap and Wendy and Andy started to work on moving David's room; out of the nursery and into the blue guest room. David was excited about the room move to "a big boy room":

David and Andy went out to run errands and fly a kite. It had been a few weeks, but David did a very good job:

A Family Day; or, Finally, Some Down Time (really?)
Saturday, July 10, 2010
We decided to spend Saturday as a "family day." With a quick donut stop at ele bakery , we headed to Boonshoft Children's Museum for a fun filled morning of play. There was a new exhibit, a space capsule:
"Super David to Earth, Super David to Earth, I am here to fight bad guys in space."
What does this button do?
A little time at mission control:
Bri-Bri would have really enjoyed this setup!
Then it was off to the new Green Home exhibit:
David likes the Color Wall more every time we visit. Dance David, Dance:

Time to wash the truck:
How about a pirate map computer game:
What is behind these doors:
Where are the birds?
David enjoyed the opossum; not sure what it was doing awake at 10 AM?
David got a big kick out the tortoise:
Then he enjoyed pretending to be one:

After some play time, we headed home for lunch and then to the neighborhood pool. David did a great job trying out his new float shirt. We were all hungry after being out in the sun, so we headed to EO Burgers. Then it was home for a movie, Monsters Inc. Overall, it was a very relaxing day...
