On the way home, some play time at North Park was in order. David sung on stage with his echoing microphone and did some serious playing on the playground equipment.
On the way home we stopped at the store and picked up some popsicles and fudgsicles. It was hot and David enjoyed:
We decided to head down the the MidFirst Ohio Challenge balloon festival. David enjoyed taking the school bus shuttle from airport parking to the park:
There was a car show, food vendors, and live music. David really enjoyed the live music:


The winds picked up and it looked like it could rain, so we grabbed some dinner and found a spot under a large tent. Corn dog anyone?

The temperature began to drop a good bit by 7 PM, so we decided to stick around until the balloon glow at 9. We found a seat in the shade:
David played with a little boy from Centerville until we saw this out in the field:
Upon further investigation, we found out that we could go inside!
David thought being inside a giant balloon was cool:

We decided to head over to the other side of the park and find a seat for the evening's festivities. There were lots of sky divers every 30 to 40 minutes through out the day. The all landed in a corded off area in the middle of the crowd:
"Hey, what are they doing out there?" The evening balloon launch was called off, but the glow was still a go:

There were lots of good seats. We were about 20 feet from the balloon area:

David and Andy hung out on the blanket for a while, until David decided to get up and run around the blanket in circles....
David was up later than normal, but it was a nice evening!
