For David's Birthday Weekend we headed to the Cincinnati Zoo. On Friday night the weather was calling for a chance of showers on Saturday evening. By Saturday morning there was a 70% of showers, all day... As we pulled off of I-75 it began to rain. We headed into the adventure of the zoo in the rain:
We tried to hit the indoor exhibits first. The Reptile House:
The Cat House:
World of the Insect:
The rain finally subsided and we were able to freely roam through the habitats without getting too wet. We saw lots of cool animals:
During lunch we were joined by a new friend, Mr. Peacock:
After lunch we headed off to see the Elephants and then the Giraffes:
We actually got to FEED the Giraffes!
That was REALLY FUN!We then headed to the train for a train ride around the center of the zoo:
Our next stop was in the petting zoo. We fed the goats and sheep, and got to see lots of baby animals.
On the way out we went to visit the Gorillas:
Everyone had a fun day!
